On the 2nd of November in the Lviv Archdiocese, the new project for young people has been launched, it is named the “Spiritual Weekends”, and its subject matter is the service of a young person in Church and in the society. A special guest at the first "Spiritual Weekend" was Bishop Venedykt (Aleksiichuk), the Chorepiscopus of Lviv Archdiocese, who addressed the young people with some spiritual words. This was reported by the press service of the UGCC Commission on Matters of Youth of Lviv Archeparchy.

"God made us all different so that we can complement and complete each other! We should be able to follow Christ, to accept our responsibilities and in such a way to serve others. It happens quite often that we forget that we bear the image of God, and that we may hurt our neighbor by deeds or words. If we do evil, as a result it comes back to us, so let us do good - and it will return to us a hundredfold "- those were the words with which Bishop encouraged Lviv youth. "In order to really start serving, we should first get to know ourselves – in such a way Fr. Oleksandr Royko, who is the retreat of the “Spiritual Weekends”, was teaching young people. - Each of us is a servant of God and it is his or her nature to serve Him, just like a good child does to his father".

The first “Spiritual Weekend” was attended by the youth from the Halytskyi, Zolochivskyi, Hlynyanskyi and Pomoryanskyi deaneries of Lviv archdiocese. This event was conducted in the form of prayer and communication with spiritual individuals. It is expected that within those weekends the UGCC bishops will be communicating with the youth. Approximately five of such "Spiritual Weekends" are planned to be conducted at the level of Lviv Archdiocese.

The next spiritual weekends will take place in December. The possibility to participate in them will be given to the young people of all deaneries of Lviv Archdiocese.
