With great pleasure and deep gratitude, we invite the faithful of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church and all people of good will to join us on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at 19:00 EET (Kyiv time) for, “Moving Forward Together: Reflections on the vision of the UGCC on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the enthronement of His Beatitude Sviatoslav." This event will be broadcast live on Zhyve TV’s YouTube channel and Facebook page. An English translation of the event will be provided.

On March 23, 2011, the Electoral Synod of Bishops of the UGCC elected Bishop Sviatoslav Shevchuk as Father and Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church. He was enthroned as Primate of the UGCC on March 27, at the Patriarchal Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ in Kyiv.

“This year marks the tenth anniversary of this historic event. While ten years is only a short moment in eternity, nevertheless, we take this opportunity to thank God for His Beatitude Sviatoslav and to reflect together on our journey with him under his pastoral care.  At the same time, we look forward to the future with our Patriarch and imagine all the possibilities for our Church in the decade to come," said the celebration’s organizing committee, headed by Metropolitan of Philadelphia, Borys Gudziak.

During the conversation, videos presented will show a "living mosaic" of the UGCC, including representatives from the episcopate, clergy, monastics, youth, and laity from various professions and milieus (doctors, military personnel, intellectuals, members of the business community, and etc.).  We aim to show the activities of our Church in these three terms: global presence, unity, and service.

Join the conversation on March 28 via Zhyve TV’s YouTube channel or on their Facebook page! The broadcast will be in Ukrainian and English!

Please kindly distribute this announcement.
