UGСC developed a spiritual program for the Pidkamin Festival

The youth commission of the Lviv Archeparchy of the UGCC will offer a spiritual program to the participants of Pidkamin 2010, the organizers of the festival report. Representatives of different confessions will not only open the festival but will also include their own events in the festival program. In particular, the youth commission of the UGCC and the School of the Christian Actor have developed special daily programs for participants of the ethno festival Pidkamin-2010, which will consist of a morning prayer, various games, and discussions on religious and social questions. “We also want to bring something special to the program of Pidkamin-2010,” notes the head of youth commission Fr. Taras Mylyan. At a set time everyday near the small stage participants of the fest will have the opportunity to dance synchronous dances. “Young people like dancing, and at first glance it seems unusual that the representatives of the church are initiating such things, however, as our experience shows, young people are quickly pulled to it. And the festival will close traditionally – with a Christian prayer,” underlined Fr. Taras.
