The 55th General Conference of Catholic Military Chaplains was recently held in Germany. This year's theme of the meeting was: "Evangelism of post-secularism.” The conference was organized by the military ordinariate of Germany. The German military pastors were joined by representatives from the ordinariates of Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, Austria, Croatia, Spain, and France. From Ukraine took part Bishop Mikhail (Koltun) of the Department of Patriarchal Curia of the UGCC on Matters of Pastoral Care in the Armed Forces of Ukrain and his assistant Fr. Lubomyr Javorsky. At the conference Bishop Mikhail thanked the German chaplains for their kind cooperation. "Discussion of military evangelism here allows us to sow the seed of God in the military and in the former Soviet Union. These international meetings for chaplains are very beneficial for us because we can learn a lot from the experience of chaplain ministry,” noted the bishop.
