The pilgrimage will begin on Saturday, October 22, with a Pontifical Divine Liturgy headed by the Apostolic Visitator for Ukrainians in Italy and Spain Bishop Dionisiy (Liakhovych). In the evening there will be a moleben followed by a procession with candles. The next morning the pilgrims will pray together at the Divine Liturgy in the cave where the apparition of the Virgin Mary took place. The pilgrimage will end with an akathist and teaching by Bishop Dionysius. “We hope that this first joint pilgrimage will become a good tradition for Ukrainian immigrants in Italy and Spain, and a place for spiritual meetings for Ukrainians who are scattered throughout the world,” said pastoral coordinator for Ukrainians in Italy Fr. Marko Jaroslav Semehen.
