Ukrainians in Rome honoured the memory of the fallen soldiers and collected next 4650 Euros for the army

On Sunday, June 15, in Dei Partigiani Square in the Italian capital Roman Maidan participators held regular demonstration in support of Ukraine. In the beginning of the action attendants honoured the memory of Ukrainian soldiers who were killed in recent days while performing their professional duties in the area of ATO.

In his speech, the coordinator of the Organizing Committee of Euromaidan in Rome, responsible for collecting the aid, Mariana Tril’, filed a report on the use of funds collected last week. So, 875 Euros were spent on the purchase of mattresses to military hospitals of Kyiv and Lviv.

Four thousand Euros were spent on the purchase of 54 carrymats, 82 discharges, and 24 armoured plates. The equipment was delivered to Ternopil National Guard battalion and for military people who are currently training at the polygon in Yavoriv. For 3200 euros were ordered 14 bullet-proof vests.

Especially touching were speeches of mothers whose children are now in the Armed Forces. They shared stories about the needs of the military and encouraged everyone not to be indifferent.

On Sunday, June 15, activists of the Organizing Committee of Euromaidan in Rome gathered for the purposes of Ukrainian army 4650 Euros. In particular, 2200 Euros were donated by parishioners of the church of Christ the King of Basilian Fathers Monastery, 250 Euros by the parishioners of Saint Sophia Cathedral; 1500 Euros were raised at the manifestation and others.

Ukrainians of Rome again shown that they are the part of the Ukrainian people. Together we will win.
