A Christian camp for children held in Odesa

From August 1 to 6, in Odesa, on the territory of the catechetical center of the parish of the Ascension of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Kotovsky micro-district, the summer Christian camp “God is with us” was held under the spiritual leadership of Fr. Roman Mirchuk, Fr. Yuriy Stronyanskyi, sisters of the Congregation of the Incarnate Word and animators.

During the week, about 20 children from Odesa got to know God and each other, created an atmosphere of love and friendship. Delicious lunches and breakfasts were prepared by the host Olena Stronianska.

Each day of the camp began with the Divine Liturgy and spiritual science. The program included compelling games, bans, water day, master classes, and creative tasks that revealed new talents in children. Children also learned to make candles from wax.

On the last day of the camp, the participants enjoyed the “Odesa has hot talents” celebratory concert and tasted dumplings prepared by the parishioners of the Church of the Ascension of Our Lord.
