A Church of New Martyrs of Ukraine being prepared for a consecration in Khmelnytskiy

An initiator of a construction of a church became a local government back in 2018 with a promotion of Oleksandr Symchyshyn, mayor of a city. Owing to cooperation with a synkellos of Kamianets-Podilskyi eparchy Fr. Ivan Dankevych, with a decree given after a session of a city council, a land property was passed for a construction of the church.

A church is situated near a monument to victims of repressions. An idea of building the church mainly in this place was generated with an aim to carry out all the events of commemorating fallen warriors with a prayer.

An administrator of the church became Fr. Mykola Shpitalnyi, priest at the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Khmelnytskiy.
