A walking and bicycle pilgrimage of clergy and faithful of UGCC Kyiv Archeparchy to Vyshhorod will take place

On May 18-19, 2013 a pilgrimage of clergy and faithful of the Kyiv Archeparchy to Vyshhorod will take place. As is known, in this pilgrimage place dating to the times of Kyiv Rus, the icon of the Vyshhorod, (Volodymyr) Mother of God was kept. This information was released by UGCC Kyiv Archeparchy Press Agency.

On May 18-19, 2013 a pilgrimage of clergy and faithful of the Kyiv Archeparchy to Vyshhorod will take place.  As is known, in this pilgrimage place dating to the times of Kyiv Rus, the icon of the Vyshhorod, (Volodymyr) Mother of God was kept. This information was released by UGCC Kyiv Archeparchy Press Agency.

The pilgrimage will have two routes.   The walking pilgrimage (30 km.) will begin from the Patriarchal Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ (5 Mykilsko-Slobidska St.) and continue on route: pr. Brovarsky, blvd. Perov, blvd. Vatutin, Moscow bridge, Obolonsk riverside, Pryrichna St., Pivnichna St. past the metro station Heroes of Dnipro to the UGCC Church of the Vyshhorod Mother of God.

The bicycle pilgrimage (50 km) will begin from Irpin and follow the route: Hostomotel, Rakivka, Syniak, Demydiv, Liutizh, Stari Petrivtsi, Novi Petrivtsi to the UGCC Church of the Vyshhorod Mother of God.

During the pilgrimage there will be nightly prayer by the Church of the Vyshhorod Mother of God, the Way of the Cross procession through the streets of Vyshhorod and a celebratory Divine Liturgy.
