Bishop Paulo (Khomnytskyi) met with faithful of St. Volodymyr the Great Church in Kherson

On Saturday evening Bishop Paulo (Khomnytskyj), Eparch of Stamford (USA), visited with the fathers of the St. Volodymyr the Great Monastery, who minister in Kherson. The bishop is a participant of the meeting of the Permanent Synod of Bishops (on March 6-10), which this year will take place in Odesa. Before the Divine Service in the morning of March 7 believers of the Basilian monastery greeted Bishop Paulo with a loaf of bead. The Hierarchal Liturgy began in concelebration with the Basilian fathers. During the sermon, on the Veneration of the Holy Cross, Bishop Paulo paid regard to meaning of the cross and suffering in our days.  After the completion of the Liturgy, the bishop of Stamford conversed with the parishioners. Father Macarius Leniv, OSBM, abbot of Kherson’s St. Volodymyr the Great Monastery, thanked the honored guest for his friendly visit.
