On July 5, 2022, another clergy meeting was held in the Exarchate for Ukrainian Greek Catholics in Germany and Scandinavia as part of the “Spiritual Impulse” program.

During the meeting, priests of the exarchate listened to Rev. Dr. Mykhailo Dymyd’s presentation about experiencing the effects of Russia's military aggression. Speaking about sacrifice, fatherhood and motherhood as ministry, and death as a path of birth to eternity, the speaker demonstrated the path of spiritual care that every priest can provide, realizing his individual place in this war.

Ms. Yuliana Maslak, an asssociate of the Child Dignity Center at Ukrainian Catholic University, presented the range of psychological and behavioral aftereffects on children who personally experience military aggression. The speaker, who provided examples of her personal experience of working with victims of psychological trauma, called upon the clergy to help people deal with their experience.

Discussion ensued following the presentations. His Eminence Bohdan Dzyurakh summed up discussion of the Exarchate’s priestly ministry and called for the fatherly pastoral care of those arriving here after fleeing the war in Ukraine.
