Educational courses for priests of Ternopil-Zboriv Eparchy
Friday, 12 November 2010, 22:59 Two hundred twenty priests of the Eparchy of Ternopil-Zboriv are attending educational courses. These pastors, who are in their second year of studies, deepen their knowledge of the history of the Ukrainian Church, dogmatic theology, the Holy Scripture, and liturgy.
Two hundred twenty priests of the Eparchy of Ternopil-Zboriv are attending educational courses. These pastors, who are in their second year of studies, deepen their knowledge of the history of the Ukrainian Church, dogmatic theology, the Holy Scripture, and liturgy.
Bishop Basil (Semeniuk), Eparch of Ternopil and Zboriv, appointed Father Paul Repela to conduct the courses. Typically there are two groups of priests: one group attends lectures at the Joseph Slipyj Seminary in Ternopil and the second one attends lectures in the monastery of the Congregation of the Sisters of Immaculate Heart of Our Lady of Fatima in Zboriv.
The clergy take courses of in the subjects of philosophy and theology for three years. The priests take exams after finishing each subject.
