Belief in the resurrection of Jesus Christ is a necessary condition for our salvation. The apostles proclaimed from the beginning that in order to be saved, one must believe that Christ rose from the dead. Belief in the resurrection is the pinnacle of the Christian faith. This was emphasized by the Father and the Head of the UGCC in Saturday's video catechism, dedicated to the explanation of the fifth article of the "Creed" - about the three-day Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

In the catechesis , His Beatitude Sviatoslav explained that the event of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ is a separate article of the "Symbol of Faith", because it is the central event of the whole history of salvation. It has been the main content of the sermon of the Church of Christ.

As the Head of the UGCC noted, we read about the resurrection of Jesus Christ in all the Gospels as the main event that the evangelists wanted to tell us about.

The Primate pointed out that the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead was preceded by suffering, death on the cross, burial and descent to hell.

His Beatitude Sviatoslav emphasized that through the preaching of the Church we can experience the encounter with the risen Christ today, just as the apostles experienced in Jerusalem in the first days after the Savior's resurrection and carried this news to the ends of the earth.

"May this apostolic preaching and confession of faith in the risen Christ be the strength of our Christian faith today and in the future," the hierarch wished.
