Over the last three months, Ukraine has demonstrated to all our trust in democratic values and our choice for Europe. Our deep and sincere desire is only for the reestablishment and development of our fraternal relations with Russia in friendship and in the spirit of mutual respect.” The Church Head expressed his hope that the European officials would not respond with apathy, but would join their efforts to stopping aggression in Ukraine. He concludes his appeal to the officials by stating, “We believe that God is not in might, but in truth…. and truth is on the side of the Ukrainian people.
