Head of the UGCC in Zarvanytsia emphasized that we will be children of the patriarchal Church when we learn to be together.

We are a patriarchal Church. The patriarchiate is not given. The patriarchiate is a certain way of being together with our Church, which exists in Ukraine and throughout the world. When we learn to be together, to defeat what separates us, then we will gradually become a truly patriarchal Church.

The Head of the UGCC stressed this during a meeting with the youth in Zarvanytsia on Saturday, July 13, 2019, answering a question about the patriarchiate status of the UGCC.

"When you really know what your church is; when you are grieving with our faithful in Argentina, and rejoicing, for instance, at the joy of your brothers and sisters in Australia, then you will be the children of the patriarchal Church. Therefore, we are building our patriarchiate," said His Beatitude Sviatoslav.
