His Beatitude Lubomyr (Husar) will participate in the All-Ukrainian Scholarly-Historical Conference “Radomyshl in the History of Ukrainian Church 1682-1840”

The All-Ukrainian Scholarly-Historical Conference on “Radomyshl in the History of the Ukrainian Church 1682-1840,” marking the 250th anniversary of the inauguration of Pylyp (Volodkevych) as the Metropolitan of Kyiv, Halych and All Rus, will take place on June 8, 2012, in the historical cultural complex of Radomysl Castle in Radomyshl, Zhytomyr oblast, according to Rev. Ihor Hrishchenko.
The All-Ukrainian Scholarly-Historical Conference on “Radomyshl in the History of the Ukrainian Church 1682-1840,” marking the 250th anniversary of the inauguration of Pylyp (Volodkevych) as the Metropolitan of Kyiv, Halych and All Rus, will take place on June 8, 2012, in the historical cultural complex of Radomysl Castle in Radomyshl, Zhytomyr oblast, according to Rev. Ihor Hrishchenko. The program will include presentations by His Beatitude Archbishop Lubomyr Husar and His Excellency Bishop Yosef (Milian), Auxiliary Bishop of the Kyiv Archeparchy. Other presenters include: Leonid Tymoshenko, Dean of the History Department and  Chair of Ancient Ukrainian History and Special Disciplines Faculty at Drohobych Ivan Franko State Pedagogical University; Ihor Skochylas, candidate in history, Senior Fellow of  the Institute of Ukrainian Archeography and Source Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Lviv), Dean of  Humanities Department, Lecturer of Church History at Ukrainian Catholic University; Taras Pshenychny, candidate in history; Mykhailo Dovbyshchenko, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Fellow of the Center of Ukrainian Studies of the Philosophy Department at Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University. Nadiya Stokolos, Doctor of History, Professor, Chair of Department of Philosophy and Social Studies at the Rivne Institute of Slavonic Studies specializing in Uniate churches in Radomyshl, the cathedrals of the Kyiv Metropolitanate Archeparchy in Radomyshl and the Radomyshl Uniate Seminary. There will also be two publications presented at the conference:  Archive of the Ukrainian Church by Mykhailo Dovbyshchenko and The Drama of the Church by Nadiya Stokolos and Ruslan Sheretiuk.
