Mother is the dearest person to each of us. She gives us life, a part of herself. We have such a strong invisible bond with her that when the bond breaks we feel excruciating pain and loneliness. Although being people of faith we comfort ourselves with the thought that a loved one did not leave us forever but through death, which is Pasch to us, moved to eternal life with their Creator and we would meet them there, in eternity.

With these words His Beatitude Sviatoslav, the Father and Head of the UGCC conveyed his condolences to bishop Mykhailo Bubniy, exarch of Odesa on his mother’s Paraskevia death.

The Head of the UGCC points out that the mother of the bishop, according to many people, was a radiant and joyful person, who placed enormous faith in the resurrected Christ.

“We are grateful to God that mother Paraskevia raised her son in a proper way, who, standing by the altar of God today, will be praying for the rest of her soul and forgiveness of sins”, wrote His Beatitude Sviatoslav and assured the bishop that he would be praying for God’s mercy for the newly departed servant of God Paraskevia.

As it was previously informed on June 22, 2021 after a difficult disease Paraskevia Bubniy, mother of bishop Mykhailo, exarch of Odesa passed away at the age of 89.
