The icon was given to the Head of the UGCC by the Center for Research in Ukrainian Sacred Culture for assistance and support in conducting the symposium "Ukrainian sacred art of the end of the 20th to the beginning of the 21st century," which took place in Kyiv on December 25-27, 2008. As part of the symposium took place the presentation of the album "Ukrainian artists of sacred art from the end of the 20th to the beginning of the 21st centuries," the introduction to which was written by the Head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyivan Patriarchate, Patriarch Filaret, and the Head of the UGCC, His Beatitude Lubomyr.
