In the Archdiocese of Ternopil-Zboriv, the first event, dedicated to the Year of Faith in the UGCC, took place

On the 20th of January, at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Ternopil city, the spiritual and artistic evening "The joy of faith in the Ukrainian Christmas carol", took place. Among the participants in this event there were the best church choirs of the city, in particular: the Cathedral Choir, the parish Choir of the Priestly Martyr Josaphat, Saint Peter the Apostle Parish Choir, the Parish Choir of Saints Volodymyr and Olha, the Archistratigus Michael Parish Choir, as well as the Honored Artist of Ukraine- Dmytro Hub'yak.

Numerous faithful, who gathered in the cathedral, had the opportunity to hear more than 30 Ukrainian carols, which intertwined with the Ukrainian religious poetry and congratulations. On the faces of a number of people, the tears of joy appeared, and the unique family atmosphere prevailed.

At the end of the spiritual and artistic program, on behalf of Bishop Vasyl (Semeniuk), the Archbishop and the Metropolitan of Ternopil-Zboriv, all the faithful, who attended were addressed by the dean of the Cathedral, Fr. Andriy Romankiv. The priest informed the faithful about the start of the Year of Faith in the UGCC: "Today's spiritual and artistic evening, with which we begin the events dedicated to the Year of Faith, certifies that the living tradition of the Ukrainian carol is capable of reproducing the deep faith and the genuine pleasure of person’s meeting with God. I express my sincere gratitude to the performers, who not only are the talented singers and artists, but also the practicing Christians, who live by faith and share it with others”. Father Andriy Romankiv encouraged all present to generously share their faith in the daily life situations.
