In Vilnius UGCC church was started the research of burials, which were found in vaults

On June 12 at 15:00 to the church of the Holy Trinity of Basilian Fathers in Vilnius arrived the special committee for the review of burials in the vaults of the temple to establish their historical and cultural value.

The comittee head is Andronya Vishnyavsenye. Also, the commission included: anthropologists, archaeologists, historians from Vilnius and Fr. Paul Yahymets OSBM.

All the vaults with the graves and the remains of the dead were examined. The commission members stressed that we need to look for materials in the archives concerning burials and find a register of deaths of the Holy Trinity Church.

At the conclusion was heard the report made by Doctor Al’dona Vasilyavskenye about the history of OSBM and personality of Josaphat Kuntsevych.
