Kyiv Archeparchy accomplished a pilgrimage to Zarvanytsia for internally displaced persons

On October 28-29, 2017 Kyiv Archeparchy accomplished a pilgrimage to Zarvanytsia, in which took part internally displaced persons, who temporarily live in Kyiv region.

This pilgrimage was mutually organized by Department of migrants of Kyiv Archeparchy and Charitable fund “Caritas-Kyiv”.

Fr. Andrii Hakh, Secretary of Department of Pastoral Care of Migrants (UGCC), informed that this pilgrimage was organized notably for persons, who were forced to leave their homes due to the war in the East of Ukraine. “Today a large share of internally displaced persons temporarily lives on the territory of Kyiv Archeparchy. Therefore our Church takes care of wellbeing and spiritual growth of these people”, - noted the priest.

The chaplain of the pilgrimage fr. Vasyl Barna told that the program of the pilgrimage included prayerful vigil and Divine Liturgy. Beside that pilgrims had possibility to receive Sacrament of Penance and also to visit excursion at Marian spiritual center “Zarvanytsia”.
