With the blessing of His Beatitude Sviatoslav (Shevchuk), UGCC Head, the head of the mission Postulate Center of the Beatification and Canonization of Saints of the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church, Rev. Polikarp Nartseliuk, and the Secretary of His Beatitude Sviatoslav, Rev. Oleh Oleksa, sealed the relics of the saints for the altar of the Patriarchal Cathedral. The Rite of the Sealing of the Relics took place on August 15, 2013.

According to church regulations the relics will be placed in the four corners and the center of the main altar during the consecration.  Into the altar of the Patriarchal Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ will be placed the relics of Apostles Peter, Paul and Andriy Pervozvanyi, Popes Clement of Rome and Martin, who perished on Ukrainian territories, Saint priest martyr Josaphat, Blessed priest martyrs of the 20th century Mykola Charnetsky and Josaphat Kotsylovsky.

Rev. Polikarp relates that the relics for the Cathedral were found in the relic box for incrustation into icons under a sealed wax stamp, which is proof of its authenticity. These relic holders are opened and the relics are divided into parchment envelops, prepared especially for this purpose by the mission of the Postulate Center of the Beatification and Canonization of Saints of the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church. These parchment envelops are sealed and validated by the wax seal of His Beatitude Sviatoslav.
