Reward of the President of Ukraine Conferred on Bishop Volodymyr (Viytyshyn)

On January 15, 2010, in the session hall of the Ivano-Frankivs’k regional council, Bishop Volodymyr (Viytyshyn), Eparch of Ivano-Frankivs’k, received the reward of the President of Ukraine the “Order for Merits of the III degree.”
On January 15, 2010, in the session hall of the Ivano-Frankivs’k regional council, Bishop Volodymyr (Viytyshyn), Eparch of Ivano-Frankivs’k, received the reward of the President of Ukraine the “Order for Merits of the III degree.” At the beginning of the board meeting of the Ivano-Frankivs’k regional state administration which addresses the basic questions related to the results of socio-economical and cultural development of Prykarpattya and the status of calculations for energy sources, Mr. Oleh Korzhak, vice-chairman of Ivano-Frankivs’k RSA, read the Decree of the President of Ukraine about conferring the Medal for the Merits of III degree on the Bishop of Ivano-Frankivs’k of the UGCC Volodymyr (Viytyshyn): “For the realization of state social programs, for active charitable activity, and on the occasion of Charity Day Volodymyr (Viytyshyn) – Bishop of Ivano-Frankivs’k of the UGCC – is rewarded with the Order of the III degree…” The reward was handed by Mr. Mykola Paliychuk, the head of the Ivano-Frankivs’k RSA, and Mr. Ihor Oliynyk, the head of the Ivano-Frankivs’k city council. After receiving the order the bishop of Ivano-Frankivs’k addressed those present with words of gratitude: “First of all I want to felicitate all of you with a New God’s Year 2010 with wishes of good, peace, and spiritual rest, and sincerely thank you for the reward, which is the work of everyone in the Ivano-Frankivs’k Eparchy of the UGCC: the clergy, the faithful, and people of good will…” gratefully remarked Bishop Volodymyr.
