On January 12, 2009, as part of a working visit to the Academy of Ground Forces, the commander of the Ukrainian Naval Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine admiral Ihor Tenyukh visited the Michael the Archistratege Church, which operates near the educational institution.
On January 12, 2009, as part of a working visit to the Academy of Ground Forces, the commander of the Ukrainian Naval Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine admiral Ihor Tenyukh visited the Michael the Archistratege Church, which operates near the educational institution. The honored guest was met by the pastor of the church Fr. Stephan Sus who described the activity of the soldier chaplains in the academy. In his turn, the commander of the UNF of Ukraine promised to make efforts to create a chapel in the Academy of Naval Forces of P.S. Nakhimov in the city Sevastopol. At the completion of his visit to the church, Fr. Stephan presented to the admiral the book “Saint Nicholas and his Life,” for as it is know, the saint is considered the celestial protector of navigators.
