The Head of the UGCC congratulated Ukrainians in Brazil on three jubilees

The Father and Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church His Beatitude Sviatoslav congratulated Ukrainian diaspora in Brazil on 130th anniversary of the migration.

Apart from that, there are two more anniversaries falling on this year, 50^th anniversary of the UGCC Eparchy of St. John the Baptist and 40^th anniversary of a folklore band “Poltava”.

“These jubilees demonstrate an in-depth spiritual, national and cultural, historical period. They speak of our predecessors, our inhabitants in Brazil, who, overcoming extreme challenges, brought to this land culture, language, customs and above all – vibrant faith of our Church”, said His Beatitude Sviatoslav in a special appeal to devoted Greek Catholics in Brazil.

“Today the whole Ukrainian community from around the world is celebrating with you. From Kyiv and Ukraine to your mother – the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church – we all are rejoicing with you. Today we are praying to God to bless our community and our Church in Brazil”.
