Everyone understands that the religious world is a great treasure that has been saved by the churches and religious organizations of Ukraine throughout all years of the war. This is a question of national security, stability of our state. Although there was a lot of attempts to steal this religious peace...

His Beatitude Sviatoslavspoke about this in an interview to the internet-edition “Glavkom”, answering a journalist's question whether we should expect a new war for the temples in Ukraine, as it was in the 90's of the last century.

"I would not really like that to happen," said the Primate. - “And I see that, except the enemies of Ukraine, nobody is interested in it. His Holiness Patriarch Bartholomew, the President, the Chairman of the Parliament, and His Beatitude Metropolitan Epiphanij, warned about this. Let's see how these warnings and appeals will be heard."

Also, His Beatitude Sviatoslav noticed that he does not see the tendency of the transition of Greek Catholics to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.

"Our people are asking their pastors for explanations, they are interested in this issue. We explain to them how we will build our relations with the Orthodox brethren. But we do not see that someone would change their church identity and leave our Church."

According to the Head of the UGCC, the Greek Catholics remember very well the martyrs and confessers of our Church of the communist times, who gave their lives in order to testify to the unity with the successor of the Apostle Peter of our days - the Pope.

"This unity is an integral part of our identity. After all, the completeness of the Kyiv Christian tradition is absolutely preserved and blossoms within our Church," said His Beatitude Sviatoslav.
