The Head of UGCC and United States Ambassador to Ukraine discussed the present situation in Ukraine

On 3rd of March 2015, His Beatitude Sviatoslav, Father and Head of the UGCC met with U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt, at last request. The meeting was held at the territory of UGCC Patriarchal Center in Kyiv.

During the conversation both sides exchanged their minds about the present situation in Ukraine. Mr. Pyatt pointed at a significant role of UGCC in business of a social service to the enforced immigrants, wounded, relatives of perished soldiers.

His Beatitude Sviatoslav mentioned that mother’s face of Church is revealed exactly in servicing for needy people. He told about a big social work which is performed by Caritas Ukraine, which everyday grant their help nearly for 40 thousands of needy ones through different programs.

By this, the Head of UGCC asked Mr. Ambassador about the assistance for our citizens in this rough time and not to stay alone, facing the humanitarian problems. “Today Ukraine need a humanitarian help of a foreign community”, stated the Head of UGCC.
