After the benediction by Bishop Mykolay (Simkaylo) on July 9, in Kolomyja, the third gathering of the “Mothers in prayer” group from the Kolomyja-Chernivtsi eparchy took place. About 450 mothers from more than forty communities took part in the meeting. Kolomyja blossomed with picturesque embroideries from all regions of the eparchy.  The mothers conducted the meeting alongside national coordinator, Vira Chmelyk from Lviv, who was pleasantly surprised by the activity of the Kolomyja-Chernivtsi chapter of “Mothers in prayer.” The spiritual exultation for the mothers was the Hierarchal Liturgy, which was carried out by Bishop Mykolay together with the priests. During his sermon, the Eparch commented on the importance of prayer by mothers for their children, as his spiritual calling was deeply influenced by the prayers of his own grandmother and mother. The Bishop encouraged mothers to pray not only for their own children but also for all those that are in need: the sick, the destitute, modern youth and the entire Ukrainian nation. At the completion of the meeting, the Bishop blessed the “Mothers in prayer” and thanked them for their love and devotion to Christianity.
