The “Street Evangelization” was held in the Donetsk- Kharkiv Exarchate of the UGCC

Over the time of tour, in each of the above mentioned parishes of the Donetsk-Kharkiv Exarchate, the St. George’s youth from Lviv, as well as, the participants of both the UGCC School of Theology and the UGCC School of Evangelization, who has contributed to this event, evangelized the people who were passing by around the streets of the cities and villages through the pantomimes, that helped to deliver them the information about God and man.

“We tried hard to attract attention of those people who passed by us so as to make them think at least for a while over the fundamental truths in life, that is, over the essence of their earthly living and their mission, over the existence of God, who controls everything”, - tells Father Ihor Holovchak, who is the Executive Secretary of the Patriarchal Commission of the UGCC on Matters of Evangelization.

Moreover, volunteers of this event invited people who were passing by to a concert of religious and patriotic song “God and Ukraine”, that was taking place on the 24^th of August 2012 within the UGCC parishes of Matviyivka and Andriyivka villages and also on the Festival’na Square of Zaporizhzhya city, with the participation of Vitold Levytskyi, who is the First Prize winner of the sixth vocal festival-contest “The songs of an unforgettable country” and the exemplary youth and children choir ensemble “Children of Light”, from Dolyna city, that is in Ivano-Frankivsk region.

As it was reported by the volunteers of the “Street Evangelisation”, people showed interest in the information about the UGCC and about the Christianity. “People’s reaction was different. Their words made me understand that in order to think about their spiritual life the first step in this direction has to me made”, - tells the Executive Secretary of the Patriarchal Commission of the UGCC on Matters of Evangelization.
