On June 2, 2010, took place a theoretical and practical Bible seminar in cooperation with the Catechetical Commission of Stryj Eparchy of the UGCC with the Commission on Matters of the Family of the Stryj Eparchy of the UGCC. This seminar was a continuation of the International Bible Conference on the topic: The “Holy Scripture in Catechism, Spirituality, and Culture of Ukraine,” (www.ugcc.lviv.ua/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1867&Itemid=97), which took place on May 25-26 in the Lviv spiritual seminary of the Holy Spirit. Its participants, in particular Fr. Andrey Binas, head of the Catechetical Commission of Stryj Eparchy of the UGCC, and Deacon Taras Kostyk, the head of the Commission on Matters of the Family of the Stryj Eparchy of the UGCC, thought of the idea to transfer the “grain” to the eparchial “ground.” As a result, the seminar in Stryj, which hoped to start Bible groups in the parishes of the Stryj Eparchy by using specific methods of reading the Holy Scripture, consisted of a theoretical and practical part. The leitmotif of the theoretical part was the words of speaker Fr. Deacon Taras Kostyk: “The Holy Scripture must be read, and foremost, lived.” The second part consisted of using new methods to read, entertain, pray, and work with the Holy Scripture.  At the completion, 16 deans of Stryj Eparchy of the UGCC exchanged contacts for further cooperation.
