“I would like to bring your attention to the fact that, starting today, all texts of our prayer missals and catechisms, especially in teaching catechism and in leading prayers, should adhere to the texts in the edition UGCC Catechism Christ – Our Easter published in 2012 (Addendum No 1). This step will express our unity,” states His Beatitude Sviatoslav (Shevchuk) in his epistle of August 12, 2012 to bishops, clergy, catechists, publishing houses and laity.

UGCC Primate specifically directed his appeal to “those who prepare and publish prayer missals and catechisms to use the approved editing of daily prayers and truths of faith as presented in UGCC Catechism, Christ – Our Easter (2012); this includes all Church commissions, monasteries and parishes which use daily prayers and  catechetical truths of faith; clergy to use this edition in all their services, catechism teachers and educators to teach the truths of faith and prayers according to the approved texts of daily prayers and catechetical truths; all faithful of the Church to know the approved texts of the prayers, truths of faith and  A Believer’s Social Guide.” In this epistle, His Beatitude Sviatoslav also reminds everyone that the main goal of this   Catechism, published a year ago, was to ensure that dogmas of faith and teachings of the Church are understandable to the general public.
