The Major Archbishop expressed his joy seeing carol singers and pointed out that due to art, children’s singing people understood better what Christmas means. “Thank you so much for filling our Patriarchal cathedral with a unique event you have brought us”, said His Beatitude Sviatoslav.

To remember a meeting and carol in the Patriarchal cathedral, Head of the UGCC gave children memorable gifts: braille prayer books.

The first meeting with the participants of “White paws fairy tale” was held in Lviv, September 20, 2019. Children and musicians, then, came to Head of the UGCC to share their idea with him and receive his blessing to implement it.

“When I heard that a Christmas program, where blind children can take part in, is being prepared - I was touched. As the one who does not see a world with his own eyes expresses it in his heart in a special way – with a singing voice. An inner world of such children is extremely deep and beautiful. After hearing a title of this spectacle “White paw fairy tale”, I got an incredible feeling of tenderness. An interesting symbol of Christmas is present here. Christmas is a moment when we need a tender hand of a Newborn Savior, who touches every human’s soul with it”, mentioned then His Beatitude Sviatoslav.
